Metatarsalgia- Ball of the Foot Pain is a general term used to denote pain in the metatarsal region (ball) of the foot. Metatarsalgia is caused by excessive pressure on the ball of the foot, in ladies, often due to high heels throwing the weight forward, or in athletes, due to long workouts or training sessions.
