Depending on a person's weight, size of feet, etc. the under foot pressure exerted when standing on two feet is approximately 40kPs. If the weight is transferred to one foot, this obviously doubles to approximately 80kPs. When walking, the under foot pressure increases to approximately 200kPs. and when running to approximately 400kPs.
The Silicone tubes in Peripeds Insoles have been engineered, so that below 200kPs. they simply flex and act as cushions, so that the wearer is literally walking on air. When walking or running,the tubes act as crumple zones, gradually collapsing to absorb the impact energy.
